The Outlook office just got a little busier – Welcome Laura

Name: Laura Webb
Senior Account Executive

What’s your background?

After graduating from university in 2012, I started working in the creative industry at a media production company. During my time there I worked across a range of fashion and liquor brands. I primarily worked on print projects and steadily developed my knowledge from print to POS and video.

Why Outlook?

The first thing that struck me about Outlook was the variety of work that they do. The prospect of working within a company that not only dealt with design and video, but also events and animation, was very appealing. During my interview process, I met people from across the business who all spoke animatedly about their role and how much they enjoy their work. As an outsider, it was easy to see why people enjoyed working at Outlook, which was extremely encouraging. And who doesn’t like magenta?

What does your role entail?

My daily roles include liaising with clients about briefs on upcoming and ongoing projects, and updating our internal job system with POs and budgets. Other duties include scheduling time for jobs in the studio, overseeing project delivery and reporting on accounts. The most crucial aspect of my job (which has been drilled into me from day one) is ensuring that the clients’ expectations have not only been met but exceeded!

What’s your favourite thing about Outlook so far?

For me personally, the best thing about Outlook is the people. Not only did I immediately feel welcomed by every member of the Outlook team, but I was overwhelmed with their willingness to go above and beyond for their clients and colleagues. This enthusiasm and dedication encourages me to strive forward and do the best I can across all aspects of my job.

What’s your favourite Outlook company value and why?

My favourite Outlook value is Collaboration. It would be rare to go through a day at Outlook without working with a colleague belonging to another team.

Examples of collaboration are present in all areas of the business. For example, discussing new briefs with designers will often lead to new creative ideas on ways to enhance the project.

The willingness to share and develop ideas together creates more varied and inspired work.
