Legal & General are a leading UK financial services provider, offering life insurance, pensions, retirement, and investment services.
The client wanted an exciting TV-style event for December, with the aim of bringing in people from across the globe and create lots of festive cheer.
Taking ITV’s ‘This Morning’ for fun inspiration, we needed to deliver an entertaining virtual event, packed with festive features for their colleagues to enjoy remotely. With ‘sustainability’ being a key takeaway message, our team had to think of creative ways to convey this in the show’s theme.
We made sure the show was TV quality with a lively mixture of pre-recorded and live sections broadcast to the L&G virtual audience. As the event was recorded throughout, it was also possible for colleagues to enjoy at a later date.
Our creatives planned a scripted show packed with fun stuff and would blow the audience’s festive socks off. To kick it off, we had the charismatic Roman Kemp, L&G’s wellbeing ambassador, hosting a lively interactive quiz. This was followed by pre-recorded messages from the CEO and interviews with the executive team talking about their charitable giving and recognition. They were also joined by an expert present wrapper.
Our team had lots of work to do behind the scenes – from planning through to pre- and post-production. We shot live interaction during the quiz in the green room, produced animated stings, and edited the opening sequence on site.
On top of that, to get the audience in the festive spirit, we created a set from scratch; we decorated an empty space with plush sofas and rustic tables for crafts, before brightening it up with coloured tube lighting and Christmas decorations.
The 75-minute-long streaming show was a great hit with the audience, successfully attracting 700 sign-ups.
