Salts Healthcare is one of the UK’s oldest, family-run companies that has grown to become a highly successful international medical products manufacturer. They invest heavily in research and development, working with healthcare professionals and education facilities to continually improve and innovate, designing products that change lives.
The team at Salts Healthcare wanted two attention-grabbing animations to promote their new, state-of-the-art range of urostomy bags, CONFIDENCE BE®.
The first video would promote the many benefits of this new range, while the second would be a “how to” designed to support patients with their stoma. In addition, 10 shorter edits, all based on the longer cuts, would be needed to promote the products on social media.
With just six weeks’ lead time and the launch fast approaching, our Video Producer and Lead Motion Graphics Designers wasted no time getting the script written and the storyboard in place.
Having successfully worked closely with Salts Healthcare for a number of years, the Outlook team had a strong collaborative relationship with the client as well as a solid background understanding of their products – both of which proved incredibly useful for turning round a high-quality, on-brand output in a tight timeframe.
Once the script had been written and approved, our team of talented Animators started modelling. Without the physical products themselves to use as reference, the team worked hard from the reference imagery provided to recreate lifelike, textured 3D models of the products.
To make the most of the time available, our Lead Animators worked in tandem, regularly checking in with each other to ensure perfect consistency between the two animations.
The 10 shorter animations for social media were taken as straight cuts from the longer videos – an approach which proved effective for both time and budget!
Our Moving Image team’s efficient, collaborative approach meant that we actually delivered the animations earlier than expected. The team at Salts Healthcare was delighted with the results, and the animations have now been published, providing an impactful and engaging visual solution as part of the wider CONFIDENCE BE® launch.
